External Examiners
The primary duty of an external examiner is to ensure that the academic standards of UWE awards are comparable to similar awards in other UK universities, and that examinations and other assessments are fair and conducted in accordance with university regulations and procedures.

External Examiner Approval
The Academic Registry is responsible for the approval of External Examiners on behalf of Academic Board.
External Examiner Extension of Tenure and Reallocation of Duties Approval
The Academic Registry is responsible for the approval of the extension of tenure and the reallocation of duties of external examiners of behalf of Academic Board.
